About FFConf

FFConf is a room full of people who still give a damn about the web and it's community - talks meant to be experienced, not bookmarked.

Who should attend?

Anyone who works on or with the web and hasn't stopped caring about it. ffconf isn't for a job title, it's for a disposition - developers, designers, the people who manage them and the people who brief them. If you're only half-sure you still care, a day in this room tends to fix that.

Why attend?

People don't leave ffconf with a tidy list of takeaways. They leave with the itch to try something - a new job, a first blog post, their own name on a CFP. The talks start it; the room makes it stick. You had to be there, and that's not a slogan - it's the mechanism.

A note on August

We close our ticket sales during the month of August. This allows you and us to have a little break during the holidays, though our early bird tickets, if available, also end during this period too.

I feel like the day had a great balance of talks, covering many aspects that are important as a software developer and not just the traditional 'technical content' avenue. I believe that this emphasis on skills and ideas that are not just technical knowledge but also how to be a developer in the context of a team and community is a great asset and one I'd like to see more of. Indeed, this year was my first ffconf, but hopefully not my last!
